Weekends can get pretty expensive with kids. And teenagers, well, when was the last time they wanted to hang out with mum and dad?! Come along to Global Rhythms & save the family from a lifetime of staring at screens!
We know that by the time you’ve walked out the door on the weekend you’ve already spent a small fortune! Ticket prices for family outings in Sydney can leave a lot to be desired. That’s why we’ve made Global Rhythms 2017 Music Festival an event for the whole family to enjoy by allowing Kids 12 & under to come along for free!
“We think it’s important that festivals are open to everyone yet saw that ticket prices for other festivals were out of reach for most families” said Festival Director Tony Smythe. “We don’t want people to think about cost as a barrier to attend Global Rhythms. We’d rather everyone was more concerned about trying to see everything we’ve got planned this year!”
This includes 7 of the best soul, funk, gypsy, Latin, punk, Afrobeat, blues and roots bands from around the country; food from all corners of the globe; arts workshops organised by Indigenous artist Jason Wing; handpan and hangdrum classes with Baran Yildiz; environmental adventures on the water with the Pirates of Plastic and many more exciting activities!
So join us for a unique and environmentally sustainable celebration of diversity and good music at this family-friendly event in the beautiful waterfront Bicentennial Park, Glebe. Complete with amazing views and ample grass areas to sit and enjoy, tickets are only $40 with Teenagers for $10 while Kids 12 & Under are free!
