Global Rhythms 2016 Bans The Sale Of Water Bottles!

It’s become well known around the world the damage to the environment from the growth in consumption of plastic water bottles. In most cases consumers are simply buying plastic with the very nature of it’s purified contents highly questionable. At a time when developing communities struggle to even access clean water we decided something had to be done. That’s why we’ve made Global Rhythms 2016 Music Festival an event free from the sale of plastic water bottles!

In line with our ‘no plastic water bottles for sale’ policy we’ve partnered with Aquabubbler and alongside support from the City of Sydney will be installing a water bubbler station to provide access to unlimited free water all day and night. Managing Director Brendan Lynch of Aquabubbler says: “one of the main reasons we started our business was the lack of places to fill up your water bottles. It’s great to see this access return to music festivals, which over the past decade have commodified water and the plastic bottle into a premium.”

A selection of limited edition Global Rhythms stainless steel drink containers will be available on the day to help festival goers unable to remember how to drink from a bubbler.

So join us for a unique and environmentally sustainable celebration of diversity and good music at this family-friendly event in the beautiful waterfront Bicentennial Park, Glebe. Complete with amazing views and ample grass areas to sit and enjoy, tickets are only $40 with Teenagers for $10 while Kids 12 & Under are free!

See you on Sunday the 25th of September at Bicentennial Park Glebe from 12pm.
